Nutrition for Musicians

By Karen Stauffer
Nutritionist

Let me introduce myself.  I've been active in the field of health and nutrition for 28 years, running my own shop for over 10.  I have a degree in nutrition but most of my nutrition knowledge is current because I read a lot!  (Constantly, in fact.)

Most of my friends seem to be Musicians and a fair number of my customers are Musicians, Singers and Actors (both famous and relatively unknown).  Professional performers know from experience how important good nutrition is to their careers, including Vitamin and Herbal supplements.  It often hits them the first time they're on stage, and they're worn out after the third song.  They start wondering how they're ever going to survive the next hour of their show!

What I do: Intuitional Nutritional Counseling, which involves answering your questions, making suggestions on what to ask your doctor, and giving information to help strengthen weakened areas of function.

What I cannot do: Diagnose any diseases or prescribe for specific illnesses.  That we leave to your doctor (who I will be glad to work with).

The links below contain certain topics
especially for Musicians and Performers - but you'll notice they actually fit almost everyone...
